cap[194]='My baby, my Back Lash, having to wear a lampshade because he was licking a wound. I am Back Lash’s third & forever home. Then we have Cricket. I got him two days off the track with a broken leg, at the age of two. He is doing very well now!  Next is LC’s Sugar Baby, the first greyhound I ever had. She was a fiesty old girl! She went to the Bridge on 28 February 2000, an unusually warm winter day.  Bottom Left: Carnival, my heart dog, gone to the Bridge on 9 May 2002. He was dumped on my doorstep, quite literally, and I fell in love with him the first time I saw his pretty face. I miss him every single day. Middle Photo: Folly gets his breakfast in bed. He’s not a bit spoiled. Nope. Last Photo: This is my favorite photograph of any of the seven greyhounds who’ve owned me over the past 15 years. This is Sunrunneriverson after having a toe amputated. Iverson was a very sick dog when I adopted him; he had blastomycosis. I pulled him through, but not without complications. After his toe was amputated, the antibiotics made him urinate uncontrollably. Here he is in his "bad-boy belly band", barely awake, with a lazy tongue.  Poor baby!';

cap[216]='In this photo I think you can see what a big difference 2 months can make to a greyhound puppy. Tie was a nornal sized puppy and so was Chase. Chase in his life won the Best in Show Junior (14 month old) at Skokloster in Sweden, a BIG show for sighthounds only.  Diva didn’t know she was a Borzoi, she came 5 month old to us.  Diva became a mom as soon as Chase, 8 weeks old, and Tie, 7 weeks old, came to live with us the same summer as she came in January. She never acted like a Borzoi after that." When it was determined that her Mom could no longer live on her own, the awful decision was made to give her up for adoption. John & Sue Knorr stepped up & adopted Fame! She had been fed oatmeal cookies & potato soup as treats, and looked like a red & white Labrador! Some refused to believe she was a Greyhound!  Well, she slimmed down, lived high with her sister Houy & chased the cats for many years!   As far as we know she may have been the oldest greyhound at Dewey Beach - now it is time for another grey to step up and reign.  She lived 18 years, 4 months and approx. 17 days.';

Bud was my Heart Dog, a piece of me died with him. Until I see your big bright eyes again my friend watch over our family. We all miss you and love you forever from the bottom of our hearts';
cap[330]='We adopted Alfie around 1 year ago and then adopted Boo about 6 month later from Greyhound Rescue North East. Both were unraced Greyhounds who were lucky enough not to see or even sniff at a race track. Lots of Greyhounds come into Greyhound Rescue North East hoping to find a home and Alfie and Boo were no different. I fostered both dogs and well....just couldn\'t let them go. What a pleasure they are.';
